Aims and Objectives: The primary objective of this study was to determine the obstetric risk factors management protocol cord prolapse in our unit through analysis cases diagnosed over a period 30 months. secondary assess neonatal outcomes that may be associated with prolapse.
Materials Methods: A retrospective for months done during which there were 24 (0.19% incidence) excluding presentations. variables, parameters perinatal outcome analysed. Statistical analyses performed SPSS, Chi-Square test used statistical significance.
Results Conclusion: mean maternal age 31.8±5.5 years. In 50% cases, labor induced. incidence abnormal fetal presentation 8%, two patients (8%) onset preterm. diagnosis delivery interval (DDI) 15 minutes seconds; except one vaginal delivery, all women underwent crash cesarean section delivery. There no mortalities noted. It throws light onto whether DDI could critical determinant deciding outcome. Maneuvers relieve pressure on umbilical followed but poorly documented (25%) as communication their partners. Various such five-minute Apgar score, Cord pH, hypoxia ischemic encephalopathy (HIE), intubation resuscitation length stay assessed showed satisfactory outcomes.

Neonatal outcome following cord clamping after onset of spontaneous respiration.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE Evolving data indicate that cord clamping (CC) beyond 30 to 60 seconds after birth is of benefit for all infants. Recent experimental data demonstrated that ventilation before CC improved cardiovascular stability by increasing pulmonary blood flow. The objective was to describe the relationship between time to CC, onset of spontaneous respirations (SR), and 24-hour neon...
